Brainstorming: Day 6
My 6th brainstorming idea would be a short film with a terrorism style plot. A man is sitting at a cafe on his lunch break, enjoying his coffee and reading the paper. His cellphone rings with the number 000-000-0000. He refuses to answer and then a bomb goes off across the street. People run in fear but as he is running, he can hear more explosions from far away. When he finally feels that he gets to safety he realizes he has 6 more missed calls. Another incoming call rings from the same number and he finally answers... A man over the phone tells him that if he ever does not answer the calls from this number people all over the world will die from the explosions that are triggered from the missed calls on the phone. The man on the phone tells him he can never go within a mile radius of his home, police stations or his families residences and he can never dial out for help. The character then decides that he must flee in to the woods far from civilization as possible in order for the phone to never get service to accept an incoming call. He finally gets back home after days in the woods but when he walks up to his front door, there is his cellphone he discarded in the woods dangling from the door knocker.

Brainstorm: Day 5
My 5th brainstorming idea would be a short film about a man who wakes up one day and everything in life that he once knew has disappeared. His family, his loved ones, friends and his entire life is gone. He sets out to find out where everyone has gone but has no clues on where to begin his search. How long was he asleep for? Where could the whole world have disappeared to while he was asleep? Will he find what he is looking for or be alone forever?

Brainstorming: Day 4
My fourth brainstorming idea for a film would be an experimental style film in a linear fashion about a character who is deprived of sleep because of nightmares and odd alternate realities. It would consist of a man or woman and every time the character finally falls asleep he/she falls in to some sort of alternate reality where everything runs backwards, upside down and many more skews of reality.

Brainstorm: Day 3
My third brainstorming idea would be a documentary of a weightlifter/bodybuilder. The film would showcase how much time, effort and hard work a weightlifter/bodybuilder puts in to transform him or herself. It would basically show the daily routine throughout the week consisting of meal preparation, supplement use, time in the gym and more. This subject interests me most because I started working out a year or two back and in the beginning weighed 125 lbs and I am now sitting at an all natural 165-170. I don't have much time for the gym anymore but making a film like this could begin to motivate me again.

Brainstorming: Day 2
My second brainstorming idea would be a documentary of a male bar servers/bartenders. I am currently a server at a bar and as a male you encounter much different situations than women. My documentary would consist of how the male server is perceived in a restaurant, troubles a male faces as a server and many more ideas. Being a male server is so much more difficult and you really have to learn how to read people in order to make good tips, I've learned this through experience. I know I am not the only male server who experiences what I do so I think it would be very interesting to reach out to other males who are servers and get their insight. In the film I would also address general of issues of serving, for both males and females, such as hourly wages (Avg. $2.13/hour not including tips) , tip out percentage and take home pay. It would probably be a sporadic and nonlinear film depending on how the server population responds to the questions at hand.

Brainstorming: Day 1
Nearly everyone you meet knows at least one person who is or was in the military but what we do not all know is how much war affects our own town. Most people look past the fact that there are military personnel in our area that are struggling after returning from war whether it be from PTSD, injuries or homelessness. My first brainstorming idea would be to do a documentary film about 1-3 war veterans, young or old and possibly their family from the local area. The veterans would tell their stories about before, during and after they left war in a linear fashion. Obviously the work would be fiction as most biographies are.The film would highlight their return home and how playing their part in a war has changed their lives forever.
